Highest Museum Quality and rarest cameo depicting a rarest scene, surely from Norse mythology, of a lady and her knight. The scene takes place in a countryside, look at how the tree behind them is finely carved, all the leaves, which form an arch over them, are wonderfully carved, you can see them one by one, their color recall the real color of the autumn leaves, the carver used the color of the stone to make this wonderful effect. The cameo is highly relief carved, look at the horse who really jumps out from the background. The lady is gently holding the horse's reins who is turning his head towards her and look at her with sweet eyes. The horse is amazingly carved, look at his mane and at the lock who softly falls on one of his eye, superb. The lady's hair is wonderfully styled, the carving is superb. Her dress is something of wonderful, all its folds are perfect. The dress top is totally embroidered, and please loot at her perfect foot that comes out from her dress, simply incredible.  She's embracing her knight and please look at the her face, she has a so sweet and lovingly expression while looking at her man. There is a smile on face and is a smile full of love, is incredible how the carver was able to show that love expression on her face. The knight carving is another work of art, he wears a chain of mail, you can see every single ring of the chain, a big shield, a sword and a horn. A winged helmet is on his head. His face is crowned by long curly hair and he also has a beard. He's really handsome, He also is wearing a sort a boots with bands to keep them up, all these details can be clearly seen and they are the fruit of the skill of the carver. I have never seem something of similar, look at the pictures and you'll be surely amazed and speechless. This one is a rarest subject, never seen before now. It is a bucolic scene where you can clearly see all the love of a woman for her man and viceversa. The proportions of the whole scene are simply fantastic. Everything in this cameo leaves me speechless, for the quality of the carving, for the elegance of the subject and for its rarity. A wonderful chiseled floral frame completes this artwork, flowers, scrolls and foliage are engraved on the gold frame. A finest and unique cameo, a real Museum Quality one. To not to be missed.
