A fantastic Museum quality cameo depicting a Queen or a Princess. I don't know who is the subject but this is not so important as this cameo is really outstanding for its carving. This subject jumps out of the stone as you can see from the pictures. Her hair is amazingly carved, so curly and long that you are tempted to run your fingers into. Look how realistic her hair is, it touches both shoulders, you can see locks of hair touching softly her left shoulder. Her neck is adorned by a necklace and her breast is covered by a dress embellished with a delicate embroidery wonderfully carved. She wears a crown. Her traits are strong but at the same time are kind and aristocratic. I think I have seen her in a painting but I can't remember which one it was. However this one is a gorgeous, amazing and more than finely carved hard stone cameo, a stunning cameo and subject to collect. An absolute beauty, a perfect cameo carved by a true artist, to not to be missed.
