More than Museum quality cameo depicting a Madonna and Jesus. Rarest subject never seen before now, surely after a painting of a great artist, I'm sure I have already seen this representation but I have not yet identified the painting. If anyone knows which is the painting this subject is from, please email me. The carving of this one is something of incredible, all the details are superbly rendered, the hands, the skin of Jesus' body, look at his legs, just like the leg of a baby, look at his feet, there are no words to describe all the beauty of this cameo. The two figures are so alive and seem to jump out from the shell The frame is spectacular too, 15 kt gold tested. It is in its original box. This is an incredible work of art, very detailed cameo, carved by an artist . Rarest cameo and subject very desirable collectors' piece.
