  • Date and origin: 1850 ca Italy, Frame could be english, 15k gold tested.
  • Conditions: Mint,  very tiny dents and a tiny hole on the frame not visible on the front.
Museum Quality Cameo depicting the Allegory of the Purity, a young maiden holding a dove . Dove is the symbol of the purity. There is an engraving on the frame, it reads Margt Emily Mather, maybe Margt stays for Margot. To write it the frame was cut and then replaced in its own place (see picture) This is a very large cameo of a rare subject, beautifully carved. A real desiderable collectors' pieces.
